    Bandai has announced the release of the Heavy Weapon System (HWS) for the RG 1/144 Nu Gundam. The HWS features additional armor that covers the chest, waist, and legs, all of which have been newly sculpted to conform to the RG standard. The panel lines, moldings, and internal mechanics of each armor have been recreated with high detail to ensure faithful reproduction.

    The chest armor unit is integrated with the shoulder missile launcher and has a deployment gimmick for the frontal armor. The missile launcher's internals are also meticulously reproduced. The Hyper Mega Rifle, a signature weapon of the Nu Gundam, has been newly sculpted and features an extendable barrel gimmick that allows for both normal and long-range firing modes. The bipod on the lower front is also movable and can be expanded.

    The High Mega Shield is a large shield that can be attached to the surface of the Nu Gundam. The armor on the top and sides can be deployed, and the dual Mega Particle Cannon on the front can extend its barrel. A dedicated attachment is included to enhance its grip strength. The leg side armor and thruster unit have also been newly sculpted and feature yellow-gray color separation.

    The HWS features a different color pattern than the RG Nu Gundam, with a matte coloring on the armor. Two different color patterns are used for the white armor to express the panel lines. In addition, the HWS comes with a new realistic decal design.

    The kit comes with various weapons, including the Hyper Mega Rifle, High Mega Shield, New Hyper Bazooka, Fin Funnels, Beam Rifle, and Beam Saber. The 1/144 scale plastic model is suitable for ages 15 and up, and no adhesive is required for assembly.
