Mobile Suit Ensemble 31 SPECIAL Adds GFred and an Expanded Weapons Set

Bandai's Gashapon brand is giving Mobile Suit Ensemble 31 a substantial upgrade. The Gashapon Online-exclusive Mobile Suit Ensemble 31 SPECIAL adds GFred to the lineup, introduces new color treatments, and packs in an expanded selection of weapons and display options.

Four Mobile Suits Plus an Expanded Weapons Set

The standard Mobile Suit Ensemble 31 lineup includes Wing Gundam Zero, Leo, and the High Mobility Type Zaku II in Black Tri-Stars colors, along with equipment for the Leo and Zaku. The SPECIAL edition changes things up with Wing Gundam Zero in metallic colors, a Zaku II, a Leo Space Type, and the newly introduced GFred from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.

GFred also includes interchangeable head parts, allowing collectors to recreate the activation of its Kappa-type Psycommu System. An MS Weapon Set rounds out the release with equipment that can be combined with both the SPECIAL figures and items from the standard lineup.

More Flexible Display Stands

Each mobile suit includes a clear articulated display base. Collectors can choose between the traditional crotch connection and a common 3 mm peg connection by swapping adapter parts. The new bases also offer angle adjustment and multiple 3 mm holes for storing unused weapons, making compact displays much easier to organize.

A Larger Arsenal for Custom Displays

The MS Weapon Set retains the Leo's 105 mm machine gun, Dober Gun, and bazooka, then adds a flight unit in standard Leo colors, shoulder cannons, leg thrusters, three pairs of hands, and an original nose-mounted beam effect based on the HG 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero. A commander head for the High Mobility Type Zaku II and beam saber effects provide even more ways to customize the figures.
