HG 1/144 Gundam ZERO Introduces Six-Color Molding and a Linked Spine
Bandai Spirits has revealed new details for the HG 1/144 Gundam ZERO from Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO. Due in April 2027, the kit combines new six-color molding technology with a spine-linked articulation system designed for natural, powerful poses.

The Experimental Gundam of XARX-ZERO
Gundam ZERO is the XARX-0, a state-of-the-art experimental machine developed to fight Apocalypse. Its pilot is Ray Azumi, a war orphan who awakens on the lunar surface in A.A. 45, decades before the events of GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT.

The HG kit recreates Eiichi Shimizu's mechanical design with detailed surface sculpting and the mobile suit's distinctive color separation. Its equipment includes a beam rifle, beam sabers, shields mounted on both wrists, and a thruster backpack.

Six Colors on a Single Runner
The kit introduces Bandai Hobby's latest six-color multi-molding process. Where earlier Gunpla runners could combine as many as four colors, this technology places white, gray, dark blue, red, light blue, and yellow on a single runner. Bandai also presents the process as a way to reduce electricity and plastic used during production.

A Spine That Moves with the Torso
A new spine-linked mechanism joins the neck, chest, waist, and limb articulation. Multiple parts forming the back bend in coordination with the chest and waist, much like a human spine, helping the completed kit move into natural yet forceful action poses.

That engineering makes Gundam ZERO as interesting from a construction standpoint as it is from a display perspective, especially for builders who enjoy seeing new molding and articulation ideas debut in the HG line.
