The Gundam Universe Expands in 2025

The Gundam universe is set to grow with the release of Mobile Sauit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, a thrilling new anime slated for a 2025 premiere. Directed by the talented Kazuya Tsurumaki, best known for his role as assistant director on Neon Genesis Evangelion, this series promises to redefine the Gundam legacy with fresh storytelling and cutting-edge animation.

Storyline

Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student living a quiet life in a space colony, becomes entangled in an underground mobile suit combat tournament known as "Clash Battle" after crossing paths with Nyann, a young refugee displaced by war. Using the codename "Machu," Amate takes the controls of the GQuuuuuuX, diving headfirst into fierce battles.

At the same time, a mysterious mobile suit called "Gundam" and its enigmatic pilot, Shuji, appear, pursued by both the Space Forces and local authorities. Their encounter marks the dawn of a transformative era.

The project brings together the iconic creators of the Gundam series, Hajime Yatate and Yoshiyuki Tomino, alongside Evangelion's mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita, ensuring a revolutionary visual style for the mobile suits.
