Aqueous Hobby Color is a safe and user-friendly paint that can be easily diluted with water. Paint brushes can also be cleaned with water before the paint dries. The solvent in this paint is gentle and it provides a glossy texture with smooth coating, resulting in a good finish. Aqueous Hobby Color gloss paints are particularly excellent at achieving a high level of gloss. The gloss level can be adjusted by adding H-40 Flat Base, which can be mixed in varying percentages to achieve a matt or semi-gloss finish. For brush painting, dilution is not necessary, but if using an airbrush, the paint should be diluted with Mr.Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (T-110 or T-111) at a ratio of 100 to 150%. Generally, 1 to 2 coats are recommended for brush painting, while 2 to 3 coats are recommended for airbrushing. Additional coats may be needed when painting a lighter color over a darker base surface.
