HG 1/144 Gundam Helix Brings Gundam Rogue Orbit's Lead Machine to Gunpla

Bandai Spirits has opened the product page for the HG 1/144 Gundam Helix, the lead mobile suit from the upcoming action game GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT. Scheduled for January 2027, the kit translates the game's weighty mechanical design and heavy weapon loadout into High Grade form.

The Lead Machine of a New Gundam Universe

GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT takes place in A.A. 145, roughly a century after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO. Players pilot Gundam Helix as RE-X, fighting alongside the Haro companion Vii against the silicon-based threat known as Apocalypse.

The game's extensive customization system lets players change weapons, equipment, and colors. That same idea carries into the model kit through parts designed to work across the new HG series.

Detailed Armor with Deployable Sections

The 1/144-scale parts reproduce Helix's dense mechanical surface detail and substantial weapon systems. Articulated joints support the machine's fast, agile movements, while expanding armor on the arms and lower legs adds another layer of display options.

A Two-Form Greatsword and Rifle

Helix comes armed with a greatsword and rifle that can be mounted on its backpack. The greatsword includes a mechanism for switching between two forms, giving the kit two distinct weapon silhouettes without losing the heavy look that defines the design.

Weapons and components are compatible with other HG kits from the GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT lineup, making it easy to explore custom combinations inspired by the game.
